This is a photograph of the wedding party where Dr. Robert Pegram married Flora Ennis Shepherd on December 26, 1894. Flora, daughter of John Calvin Shepherd, was raised by Harrison and Mary Shepherd Brown. The home pictured is the Brown home located in the Dellaplane Community of Wilkes County, NC. The home has since been burned down.

Dr. Pegram and Flora are pictured on the far right. The tall man and woman standing at the gate with several children around them are believed to be John Calvin and Martha Hash Shepherd. The boy leaning on the fence near Martha Hash Shepherd is believed to be Grover Cleveland Shepherd, and the boy leaning on the fence in front of John Calvin Shepherd is believed to be Benjamin Harrison Shepherd. The older couple standing beside John Calvin Shepherd, directly in front of the house, is believed to be Harrison and Mary Shepherd Brown. The identity of the other people in the photo is unknown. However, it is suspected that the younger men may be brothers of Dr. Pegram, and some of the smaller children probably belong to John Calvin Shepherd. The older couple on the far left could be George Washington and Martha Shepherd Phillips.
