George Shepherd, Jr. was born about 1730 in Saint George's Parish, Spotsylvania County, Virginia to George and Elizabeth Day Shepherd. He married Mary Arnold before November 20, 1776 in Spotsylvania, Virginia.

      • Llewellyn Lewis Tillery, born Nov. 3, 1843; died April 13, 1926; married Lula M. Conger (b. Oct. 18, 1844), 1868 in Augusta Co., VA; Llewellyn was raised on a farm and at the age of 17 he enlisted with the Confederacy when the Civil War broke out, becoming a member os S.P. Daughtery's company. He took part in 13 principal engagements and was wounded twice. He took part in the following battles: Pea Ridge, Vicksburg, Corinth, Big Blue, Baker's Creek, Atlanta, Ga., and Franklin, TN. After the war he returned home and resumed farming. Llewellyn is buried at Barry Cemetery in Clay Co., MO. Children unknown.

    • Rebecca Shepherd, born 1810; died Aug. 7, 1856 in Athens, KY; married John Evans Parker (b. Oct. 4, 1795), Mar. 10, 1831 in Spotsylvania Co., VA; John was a Postmaster in Athens, KY and served as a soldier in the war of 1812-15; Had ten known children:

      • Alexander Tennant Parker, born Jan. 1, 1832 in Port Royal, VA; died Nov. 23, 1922 in Lexington, KY; married 1st Virginia Oots (b. 1840), April 23, 1861; married 2nd Virginia Smith (b. 1851); Alexander was a dry goods merchant. He was also a pioneer in optics and microscopy and was on the faculty of Kentucky State College, which later became the University of Kentucky; Alexander is buried at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, KY; Had two known children by Virginia Oots:

        • Rebecca Parker, married 1st unknown; married 2nd Remus Grimes; Rebecca is buried at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, KY; Had one known child by Remus Grimes: John P., born 1880, died 1903.

Jan. 17, 1920), Feb. 5, 1938 in Jeffersonville, IN; married 2nd Patricia Anne Avery (b. Sept. 7, 1920), Nov. 20, 1951 in Syracuse, NY; James received his undergraduate education at the University of Kentucky and later earned a Ph.D. in music education at Syracuse University. He retired from the faculty of Kent State University to Spruce Pine, NC. He was a veteran of World War II in which he served in the United States Army in the Phillipines. James is buried at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, KY.

            1. William "Bill" Anderson LaBach, born Dec. 29, 1938 in Lexington, KY; married Karen Eugenia Mitchell (b. Aug. 23, 1950), Feb. 11, 1999 in Fayette Co., KY; William is an attorney. He received his A.B. degree from Transylvania College in 1959. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics from the University of Illinois in 1963 and 1965. Bill held faculty positions at the University of Illinois, Northwestern University, Florida State University, Stetson University and the University of Kentucky. In 1968-69 he was a Member of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, NJ where he served as research assistant to Prof. Marston Morse. Bill received his J.D. (law) degree from the University of Kentucky in 1975 and has practiced law in Lexington, KY since Oct., 1975. Bill has served as President of the Lexington Rose Society, Bluegrass Hemerocallis Society, Fayette County Genealogical Society, Kentucky Genealogical Society, and the Chenault Family Association in Kentucky and as a national officer in the Society of Descendants of Washington's Army at Valley Forge. He is a life member of the Society of the Cincinnati, Sons of the Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution, and the Jamestowne Society and is a member of numerous other patriotic, historical and family history organizations.

            2. Mary Ellyn LaBach, born Oct. 2, 1940; married John James Hutton, June 13, 1964 in Lexington, KY; Mary received her undergraduate education from the University of Kentucky and earned an M.A. degree in Music from Yale University where she was a Woodrow Wilson Fellow. She received a law degree from the University of Kentucky. She is a musician and music critic. John is a physican. Had three known children:

              • Mary Rebecca Hutton, born Jan. 23, 1965; married Thomas Michael Fink, Dec. 30, 1989; live in Tipp City, OH; Had four known children:

                • Kevin Thomas Fink, born July 30, 1991 in Tipp City, OH.
                • Michele Alexandra Fink, born June 21, 1993 in Dayton, OH.
                • Laura Elizabeth Fink, born Sept. 27, 1999 in Dayton, OH.
                • Stephanie Clarice Fink, born Dec. 28, 2000 in Dayton, OH.

James Parker LaBach, Jr., born Jan. 16, 1943 in Lexington, KY; married Donna Poore, Aug. 2, 1969 in Lexington, KY; Parker received his undergraduate education from the United States Military Academy at West Point and at the University of Kentucky where he received a degree in Biochemistry. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Kentucky and is now a pathologist in Kansas City; live in Overland Park, KS; Had two known children born in Lexington, KY:
