Pearl Lorraine Weaver Burkett 100th Birthday

Pearl is a great, great granddaughter of Owen Meredith Ballou, and a second cousin to brothers Grover and Harrison Shepherd.

Pearl Lorraine Weaver Burkett, age 100 of Jefferson, NC, died Monday, January 17, 2005 at the Ashe Living Center. Mrs. Burkett was born August 15, 1904 in Ashe County to Blake and Ida Witherspoon Weaver. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Brantley Burkett. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, January 20, 2005 at the Friendship Baptist Church. Rev. David Grinnell, Rev. David Lambert, Rev. Herb Parunak and Rev. A. B. Weaver will officiate. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon till 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
